RETIREMENT BECKONS

Our last house leaves the factory on 23 February 2026 and then we shall be tidying up the yard and buildings and Timber Frame Design & Build will be no more.   It has been a blast and everyone here has thoroughly enjoyed helping myriad clients create the home of their dreams. 

The website will remain live until the last of us leaves the building.  Thank you for reading our website over the years and good luck with building whatever it is that you want to build. 

Timber frame is a great way of building - just make sure the groundworks are level and true, the panels are square; whoever erects it knows how to follow the structural requirements and use a level to keep it vertical and you will be warm, safe and comfy for a lifetime.

For your home, we offer our standard 140mm timber frame; your outbuilding may be in either 90mm or 140mm frame. 

Alongside the frame, we offer an insulation package which will meet most pre build SAP calculations which will likely have walls at somewhere between 0.18W/m2K and 0.14W/m2K

We are introducing a deeper timber frame solution to assist with Passiv House buildings - or just super insulated oned - capable to achieving 0.08W/m²K
